Hovz-e Soltan

is a salt lake in central Iran , in the north of Qom Province . It is located about 30 km north ofComa and about 80 km south of Tehran . Depending on the time of year the lake surface is between 240 and 280 Mean , maximum depth is 1.0 m and capacity up to 140 million m³ , but when drought completely evaporates . Water is fed primarily by the western branch of the Rud-e Shur while the amount of rainfall is negligible. The average altitude of the lake surface is 798 m
